Who Can Benefit From Fillers?
Dermal fillers, including Radiesse® and Sculptra®, are among the most popular nonsurgical cosmetic enhancements around. In fact, they consistently rank among the top-10 minimally invasive procedures, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
A totally injectable therapy without the need for much recovery or downtime, fillers transform your face and body by adding volume to areas that have been depleted due to aging. They also add volume and contours to areas in which you may have been born deficient.
At Modern Wellness Clinic, our providers use both Radiesse and Sculptra to transform your face and body. If you live in or near our offices in Las Vegas, Nevada, we use fillers to help build up volume and contours just where you need them.
Could you benefit from fillers? Read on to find out.
Do you have a sagging chin?
One of the first and most obvious areas of facial aging is underneath the chin. A turkey wattle, often accompanied by an entire neck of loose skin, makes you look and feel older than you should.
To tighten the skin under your chin and angulate your jawline to look more youthful, you don't have to undergo the knife. Instead, a unique filler called Radiesse can use your skin’s own healing powers to renew itself and tighten up again.
FDA-approved Radiesse is made up from calcium hydroxylapatite, or CaHA. As with dermal fillers made of hyaluronic acid (HA), Radiesse gel provides immediate improvements in volume as soon as it’s injected.
Unlike the HA fillers, however, Radiesse’s benefits continue to accrue. The CaHA particles contained in the gel stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin’s deepest layers. In other words, the gel provides immediate volume, but as it gets resorbed, your own fresh, new collagen and elastin take its place.
The result, over time, is a tighter jawline. Your skin doesn’t have to be reinjected every few months, as it might with an HA filler. Instead, your skin remodels itself and actually becomes tighter and firmer as a result of treatment.
Do you have creases, folds, and wrinkles?
Radiesse can work its magic in the folds and wrinkles in your lower face, too. When injected directly into depressions such as marionette lines and nasolabial folds, the gel fills it in and smooths out your skin immediately. The CaHA, over time, rebuilds the skin in those areas so that the folds disappear.
In addition, we may be able to use Sculptra to give your face extra lift. Like Radiesse, Sculptra works by stimulating the production of collagen. It can be used to add volume to the mid face and even change the contours of your face by building up cheekbones to help support your skin and prevent sagging.
Do you want younger looking hands?
Radiesse is one of the few fillers that’s approved to reduce the signs of aging hands. As your hands lose fat and the skin becomes drier, thinner, and more translucent, you notice veins and tendons.
Radiesse replenishes volume in your hands. You immediately notice the difference as the tendons and visible veins disappear. Your skin looks thick and strong again. And, of course, over time, that’s exactly what it becomes: Radiesse stimulates collagen and elastin production in your hands, too.
Do you desire a bigger butt?
A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is an invasive surgical procedure that provides curves and depth to your posterior. However, you don’t have to go under the knife to get a more beautiful rounded butt.
We use Sculptra to recontour your derriere, followed by the application of radiofrequency (RF) energy to stimulate more collagen production. Over a series of treatments, your butt cheeks become larger, rounder, smoother, and more uplifted.
Unlike a surgical BBL, a Sculptra BBL requires no significant recovery time. Although you may have some bruising at the treatment site, that should fade within a few days.
