What to Expect During Your Brazilian Butt Lift
Uplifted, shapely curves are all the rage when it comes to the derriere. Whether you need a better backside because your job demands you look your best or just because you want to finally have the shape of your dreams, you settled on a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) to recontour your buttocks area.
But you don’t want to go under the knife. You don’t have the time to spend months in recovery, either. You’ve heard that surgical BBLs can be dangerous, too.
So you booked a nonsurgical BBL. At Modern Wellness Clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada, our aesthetic experts perform your procedure with a special, thick type of collagen-stimulating dermal filler called Sculptra®. Here’s how it’ll go:
First, relax
You chose a nonsurgical BBL because you wanted a fast, effective procedure that’s safe and doesn’t require a long recovery time. You’ve got it.
Even though you’re glad you won’t have to go under the knife, when you learn that your aesthetic expert places the Sculptra through a hollow tube called a mircocannula, you’re a little nervous. What is it? Will it hurt?
At Modern Wellness Clinic, we can answer that question with a resounding “no.” We first create a relaxing, spalike atmosphere for your BBL. Then we numb the entire treatment area before we do a thing.
You lie face down on the treatment table in a single-use, disposable paper gown. We first swab your buttocks with alcohol to disinfect your skin. We then apply a topical anesthetic cream that numbs your skin.
Once your skin is numb, we inject an anesthetic into your buttocks, or mix it into the Sculptra itself, so that you don’t feel the treatment at all.
We custom-design your BBL
After both anesthetics are in full force, we start your treatment. You’ve already spoken with your aesthetician about how you want your BBL to look. They’ve custom-designed a treatment map so they know exactly where to place the Sculptra.
Your expert uses a very thin, hollow tool called a microcannula, which allows them to place the thick, viscous Sculptra exactly where it’s needed. A microcannula is blunt, not pointed like a needle, and so it creates less skin trauma that a needle would.
We may ask you to change positions several times during the treatment, so that we can reach all areas of your buttocks. After Sculptra, we then treat your buttocks with collagen-stimulating radiofrequency and ultrasound waves, to boost and accelerate your results.
To get your desired amount of volume and shape, you probably need about 2-3 administrations of Sculptra. We recommend you leave about a month between treatment sessions.
You see the difference now … and later
Sculptra is a unique type of dermal filler that works as a collagen stimulator. Even though you’ll notice a change in volume directly after your BBL, the real magic takes place over the following weeks and months.
The Sculptra formula includes microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid that stimulate your skin to create new collagen, wherever it’s injected. That means your final BBL results are created with your own, strong new strands of collagen, which give your derriere lift and volume.
Because Sculptra adds volume and shape to your butt, it also stretches your skin, so that your rear end looks tight and youthful. Troubled by cellulite? No worries: Your new BBP fills in those bothersome dents and dips, too.
After your procedure, there’s no real recovery period. You may be slightly sore for a few hours, but you can return to your normal activities. You can even sit on your butt.
Long-lasting beauty
Your round, smooth, and perky buttocks area will maintain their shape and lovely curves for up to two years. At that time, simply schedule a new Sculptra BBL to maintain your curvy look.
